ALEXANDRIA, LOUSIANA DIOCESE SIGNS EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT WITH RENWEB TO IMPLEMENT DIOCESE-WIDE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SOLUTION

#1 Web-Based School Management Software Offers Affordable, Powerful, Standardized Solution To Improve Communication and Organization Among the Schools

February 4, 2008 - RenWeb today announced that eight schools of the Alexandria Catholic Diocese in Alexandria, LA have switched to the industry leader in next-generation, web-based school management software, joining sister school Holy Savior Menard, which became a member of the RenWeb family in 2003.

The schools of the diocese – Holy Savior Menard, Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Sacred Heart School, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Francis Cabrini, St. Joseph School, St. Mary’s Assumption, Saint Mary’s School and St. Rita School – together serve more than 2900 students and their families.

The diocese’s decision to unify its school management software under RenWeb was driven by an evaluation conducted by Catholic University in 2007, which recommended that the nine schools implement a system that would enable them to work together and share information. While Holy Savior Menard had been benefiting from RenWeb’s powerful integrated features and convenience for the last five years, the other schools used several different paper or computerized systems to organize their information.

Sister Ann Lacour, Superintendent of the Alexandria Diocese, visited Holy Savior Menard and saw the powerful ways RenWeb had changed the school, and after investigating other providers, decided RenWeb was the best fit for the entire diocese. By purchasing and implementing RenWeb in all eight schools at once, the diocese will save on training expenses and will receive a free set of standardized report cards for use across the diocese.

Bob Wilbers, RenWeb’s Founder, stated, “The decision of the entire Alexandria Diocese to join Holy Savior Menard School in using RenWeb demonstrates our ability to serve and connect all types of schools from pre-school through high school and deliver consistently high-quality service year after year. It also underscores that RenWeb is not just a software package – it’s a relationship. We’re proud that the diocese recognized not just the power and benefits of our solution, but also our long-term investment in our customers and decided to expand that relationship.”

Continued Wilbers, “To serve the needs of our member schools even better, we have launched the RenWeb Lifetime Training Pass. This new benefit provides open seat access to all online training classes on an ongoing basis so they can be retaken by new members of the school as needed. The Pass covers all specialized trainings and replays of initial fundamental administrative and faculty trainings, ensuring each school achieves and maintains the maximum use of RenWeb year after year.”

Sister Lacour said, “RenWeb’s web-based communications and record-keeping features will give the schools of the Alexandria Diocese a new way to organize our data and make it uniform so that we can easily transfer information from one school to another, which is crucial for a diocese of our size. Since we have students who move through different schools in the district as they grow older, we will be able to send their records electronically from school to school and even send records for seniors on to universities, which will save us a great deal of time and money.

“Additionally, because RenWeb hosts all our schools’ data in its professionally managed data center, each school saves on the cost of a server and avoids the headaches of supporting it. RenWeb also provides online access to the data from our offices in the diocese so that we can keep track of what is going on with our schools and provide the support they need,” continued Sister Lacour.
